MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE: Fossil Collective, ‘Wolves’

We’ve been fans of Leeds-based duo Fossil Collective since their truly excellent Frankie Goes To Hollywood cover of The Power Of Love, and there’s been a steady buzz building around them ever since, with comparisons to 70s Laurel Canyon folk and other stunning heart-on-sleeve musicians like Bon Iver and The National.

Their debut album Tell Where I Lie is the sort of record you can imagine soundtracking a film like Cold Mountain or Martha Marcy May Marlene – the kind of careworn, rough-hewn songwriting that accompanies acutely observed, emotional meltdowns in woodland settings. In fact, that’s exactly what happens in the music video for ‘Wolves’, the band’s lead single. Needless to say, the wolves are probably metaphorical.
